The AME Annual Conference 2009: Journey to Greatness was held Oct. 19-23 in Northern Kentucky. Attendees from industries worldwide gathered for a powerful five-day Lean learning experience filled with presentations, workshops and networking.
LeanCor was proud to be selected as a tour site and workshop facilitator for the conference. Vice President of Lean Development Kevin von Grabe conducted a workshop entitled "Workplace Excellence: Filling Your Lean Six Sigma Toolbox." After the presentation, attendees were able to:
• Identify waste and create a plan to eliminate it
• Understand quality at the source and poke yokes
• Determine root causes through utilizing 5 Why
• Distinguish the difference between value and non-value added processes

"I was very impressed with your entire operation. The knowledge level that your team has of their product as well as the lean tools you incorporate was, by far, the most impressive of the four tours I went on, and believe me there was some stiff competition. Congratulations on having such a great team and keep up the high energy and dedication to the lean process. It is definitely paying off." - Value Stream Leader, GE Transportation
