Weblinx

Weblinx, an on-line accessible, web-based technology was designed to support vital lean supply chain principles and processes including but not limited to:

  • Visibility to raw materials, component parts, finished goods and related information at the part level detail  through advanced data query ability and analysis functions
  • Network ownership through customer driven instructions to all other stake holders in the supply chain
  • Quality at the source through uninterrupted event management, detailed exception reporting, real time advance shipping notifications (ASN), and daily open forum PDCAs with all supply chain stakeholders
  • Collaboration through lean logistics processes, based on flow and pull, that support all logistics channel partners including transportation, cross docking and material replenishment

When arriving to the Weblinx homepage, users can login as one of a variety of user types: customer, planner, supplier, LeanCor administration, or cross dock/ logistics facility. These user types are based upon access criteria driven by the customer and assist in keeping system information hierarchal. Once logged-in, a main menu will make the following options available: view routes, advanced filter, user guide, or change password; the first two being those most commonly used in daily operations.

From the view routes default screen a list of all routes running within a predetermined time window will appear, along with high level information for each including route number and type, carrier, and status. By clicking on any of these routes, you will be taken to a route stops screen which will itemize the details of each shipping activity associated with that route. Additional details including part number, part description, order quantity, and revised quantity can be seen and pallet labels can be printed by clicking on any route from the route stops screen.

From the advanced filter screen, you can sift through a vast amount of data quickly, and conveniently arrange the outputs by part number, PO number, route number, route type, supplier, and/or date thereby adding value to any number of functions from purchasing to production to customer service.

Having extra time to react is critical to reducing and avoiding cost. Therefore, when essential events happen within your lean supply chain, Weblinx will proactively advise you and your stakeholders (as their involvement applies to the specific situation) with email notifications. Such situations include:

  • An order quantity has been revised
  • Route instructions have been released
  • A discrepancy between your order quantity and the supplier's ship quantity has occurred
  • The supplier has failed to enter a ship quantity or the quantity recorded was zero
  • A supply chain stakeholder has entered notes relative to a route's activity

Weblinx will enable you to create the Plan, support the Do, provide information for the Check/Adjust and drive daily continuous improvement to support your lean supply chain.
